Finding Treatment

Finding the right help can be just as important as the treatment itself. With this in mind, Pacific Treatment Services have come up with a wide range of options to better help any family in trouble.

The first step in any treatment process is a comprehensive assessment to formulate a plan of action that meets your goals. Having worked with teenagers for over 15 years, we can show you straightforward steps which will enable you to regain control of your home.

Our goal is the health of your loved ones. When deciding what program or counseling service to use, we encourage you to attend one of our weekly groups to see why Pacific Treatment Services is the best.

Many parents simply don’t know where to begin seeking help. Terms such as drug treatment, drug rehab, counseling, outpatient program, therapy, and drug testing can be confusing. Then add in the school disciplinary actions and defiance in the home and it all becomes overwhelming.

How We Can Help

  • Assess the psychological and substance abuse needs of the adolescent.
  • Motivate and encourage the adolescent to achieve and sustain abstinence.
  • Help the adolescent to acknowledge and recognize that their destructive behaviors and mental health issues do have a direct impact on their relationships with family, friends and their own future.
  • Educate and assist the adolescent in the identification of situations where drugs and alcohol were used to cope with life’s problems. Help them in the understanding that using drugs and alcohol to cope or solve problems does not work.
  • Develop new and more effective problem-solving strategies with the adolescent.
  • Introduce the 12-step philosophy and encourage participation in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and/or Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
  • Assist the adolescent to not only recognize but also change problematic attitudes and behaviors that could stimulate relapse.
  • Assist the adolescent in the resolution of any legal issues which may have involved criminal activity.
  • Reduce dysfunction with the family by involving family in the rehabilitation process.
  • Encourage the adolescent to actively become involved in community based activities including healthy peer groups.
